In a heart-wrenching incident in Sahiwal, two young children lost their lives and three others are now fighting for their lives in critical condition after consuming a poisoned milkshake at their father’s home on Dispensary Road.
Poisoned Milkshake Claims Lives
The father, unaware of the danger that lurked within, had prepared the milkshake for his five kids. However, shortly after they consumed it, their health deteriorated rapidly, and the family rushed them to the Teaching Hospital. Despite their efforts, seven-month-old Anas and three-year-old Haram couldn’t be saved and succumbed to the poisoning. Meanwhile, thirteen-year-old Abeeha, eleven-year-old Faiqa, and six-year-old Emaan are currently battling for their lives in critical condition.
Tragic Loss Due to Medical Error
In another heart-rending incident, a 14-year-old boy named Muhammad Nabi Khan lost his life due to a grave medical error. The young boy was suffering from diarrhea, which prompted his concerned family to seek immediate medical attention.
Medical Negligence Leads to Devastating Consequences
Rushing to the nearest doctor, a quack who lacked proper qualifications, turned out to be a fatal decision. As the doctor administered an injection, the boy’s body reacted severely, causing rashes to rapidly spread.
Dismissal of Critical Condition
Shockingly, instead of recognizing the gravity of the situation, the doctor callously dismissed the reaction, advising the family to take the boy home. With each passing moment, the boy’s condition worsened, leaving the family with no choice but to make a desperate dash to Jinnah Hospital. Tragically, the precious time lost proved fatal, as Muhammad Nabi Khan passed away within minutes of reaching the hospital.
