Prime Minister Imran Khan has approved the country’s first political map that includes Indian-occupied Kashmir as part of Pakistan. In addition to Kashmir and Ladakh, the new political map also shows the former state of Junagadh in Gujarat, India, as part of Pakistan.
While addressing the nation on state television, the prime minister said that for the first time a political map of the country will be published that reflects the aspirations of the Pakistani and Kashmiri people and the Kashmiri leadership.
PM Khan announced that the new card will be used everywhere today, including in curricula at educational institutions across the country.
Prime Minister said that the historic move confirms India’s move in Kashmir on August 5 as illegal. He said that the map has the backing of Pakistani political parties and the Kashmiri leadership and has been approved by the federal cabinet.
The country’s first political map was previously presented to the Federal Cabinet and unanimously adopted.

وزیر اعظم خان نے اعلان کیا کہ آج سے ، نیا نقشہ ملک بھر کے تعلیمی اداروں کے نصاب سمیت ہر جگہ استعمال ہوگا۔
وزیر اعظم نے کہا کہ تاریخی اقدام 5 اگست کو کشمیر میں بھارت کے اقدام کو غیر قانونی قرار دیتا ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ نقشہ کو پاکستانی سیاسی جماعتوں اور کشمیری قیادت کی حمایت حاصل ہے اور اسے وفاقی کابینہ نے منظور کرلیا ہے۔
