In the second phase of cash disbursement to those affected by the coronavirus pandemic, Prime Minister Imran Khan launched the Ehsaas Emergency Cash program for those who have lost their jobs due to the ongoing crisis.
Under the program, each unemployed person immediately receives Rs. 12,000 from Prime Minister Imran Khan’s COVID-19 Aid Fund.
On Monday, PM Khan visited an Ehsaas cash distribution center at the Pakistan Sports Complex, where he met people who received cash emergency aid through the system.
Khan asked various people about the financial impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. A number of people affected informed him of their problems and thanked them for the financial support.
He stressed that the government was aware of its problems and had therefore gradually lifted the ban to resume economic activity across the country despite fierce criticism.
He was appointed by the Minister of Industry and Production Hammad Azhar, the special assistant to the Prime Minister for Social Protection and Poverty Alleviation, Dr. Sania Nishtar, and other senior officials accompanied. Dr. Sania Nishtar informed the Prime Minister of the whole process.
The COVID aid fund has so far mobilized more than three million rupees. And, according to the Prime Minister’s commitment, the government would commit four rupees for each rupee donated by the public. For reasons of transparency, details of payment and revocation are published.

خان نے مختلف افراد سے کورونا وائرس وبائی مرض کے بعد ہونے والے مالی اثرات کے بارے میں دریافت کیا۔ متعدد متاثرین نے انہیں اپنے مسائل سے آگاہ کیا اور مالی مدد پر اظہار تشکر کیا۔
انہوں نے اس بات پر زور دیا کہ حکومت ان کی پریشانیوں سے واقف ہے اور اسی وجہ سے سخت تنقید کے باوجود انہوں نے ملک بھر میں معاشی سرگرمیاں دوبارہ شروع کرنے کے لئے آہستہ آہستہ لاک ڈاؤن اٹھا لیا ہے۔
ان کے ہمراہ وزیر صنعت و پیداوار حماد اظہر ، وزیر اعظم کی معاشرتی تحفظ اور غربت کے خاتمے کے معاون خصوصی ڈاکٹر ثانیہ نشتر اور دیگر اعلی عہدیدار بھی موجود تھے۔ ڈاکٹر ثانیہ نشتر نے وزیر اعظم کو اس سارے عمل کے بارے میں بتایا۔
