As it is not possible to conduct the entrance exam under the current circumstances, the Institute of Business Administration introduced an alternative objective criterion for the assessment of applications for admission to the MBA this year.
The revised process includes the selection of candidates based on previous academic qualifications, duration and quality of work experience / internships, curriculum activities / achievements, and candidate’s personal statement. Based on this criterion, the candidates for the final interviews are shortlisted.
During the announcement of these policy changes, IBA Executive Director Dr. S. Akbar Zaidi that these changes have been made to comply with government-issued guidelines on public health and safety and to ensure the well-being of all potential candidates.
A revision of the admission process by replacing the admission test with an alternative objective evaluation criterion in order to assess the profiles of the candidates and to shortlist them for the final interviews therefore saves the students a risk.
He further said that the IBA was aware of the difficulties and challenges faced by students whose academic careers were at risk from this pandemic, and promised that the IBA would continue to support students as far as possible without any merit and quality to respect the recording.
“We are continuously monitoring the situation and will continue to create flexibility in the approval process if necessary,” he added.

آئی بی اے کے ایگزیکٹو ڈائریکٹر ڈاکٹر ایس اکبر زیدی نے ان پالیسی تبدیلیوں کا اعلان کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ یہ تبدیلیاں حکومت کی طرف سے جاری کردہ صحت عامہ اور حفاظت کے رہنما خطوط پر عمل پیرا ہونے اور تمام ممکنہ امیدواروں کی بہتری کے لئے کی گئیں ہیں۔
لہذا ، امیدواروں کے پروفائلز کا اندازہ کرنے اور ان کو انٹرویو کے لیے شارٹ لسٹ کرنے کے لئے داخلہ ٹیسٹ کو متبادل مقصد تشخیصی معیار کے ساتھ داخلہ کے عمل کو تبدیل کرنے سے طلباء کو خطرہ ہونے سے بچایا جاتا ہے۔
ان کا مزید کہنا تھا کہ آئی بی اے طلباء کو درپیش مشکلات اور چیلنجوں سے واقف ہے جن کے تعلیمی کیریئر کو اس وبائی امراض کا خطرہ لاحق ہوگیا ہے اور انہوں نے وعدہ کیا ہے کہ آئی بی اے اہلیت اور معیار پر مشتمل ہر ممکن حد تک سہولت فراہم کرتا رہے گا۔
انہوں نے مزید کہا ، “ہم صورت حال کی مستقل نگرانی کر رہے ہیں اور جب بھی ضرورت ہو داخلے کے عمل میں لچک پیدا کرتے رہیں گے۔”
