The Punjab government has announced plans to ban pillion driving throughout the province from 1st Muharram to 10th to ensure maximum safety during the 10 days and to avoid unfortunate events.
The Provincial Cabinet Committee on Law and Order has also proposed blocking mobile networks, especially in areas that are close to the processional routes. In addition, the armed forces of the Pakistani Army and Rangers were asked to ensure maximum security from the 1st to the 10th Muharram.
The report also suggests that special traffic plans be drawn up to ensure a smooth flow of traffic, and military forces will also be on standby to strengthen the province’s security.
Minister of Justice Muhammad Basharat Raja also spoke on the subject, assuring that the government had put in place a thorough and fail-safe security plan for the entire province in accordance with the directive issued by the Prime Minister of Punjab.
The first 10 days of Muharram are critical to the safety of the people, especially those participating in the procession. Indeed, with COVID-19 still at large, this is a time for careful consideration by all provincial governments, as they not only have to protect themselves from possible violent outbreaks and terrorist activities, but also have to prevent the resurgence of the COVID-19 virus .

حکومت پنجاب نے یکم محرم سے لے کر 10 تاریخ تک پورے صوبے میں ڈبل سواری پر پابندی عائد کرنے کا اعلان کیا ہے ، تاکہ 10 دن کے دوران زیادہ سے زیادہ سیکیورٹی کو یقینی بنایا جاسکے اور کسی بدقسمتی واقعے سے بچا جاسکے۔
امن و امان سے متعلق صوبائی کابینہ کی کمیٹی نے سیلولر نیٹ ورکوں کو جام کرنے کی بھی تجویز دی ہے ، خاص طور پر ان علاقوں میں جو جلوس کے راستوں کے قریب ہیں۔ مزید برآں ، پاک فوج اور رینجرز فورسز سے بھی درخواست کی گئی ہے کہ وہ یکم محرم سے 10 محرم تک زیادہ سے زیادہ سیکیورٹی کو یقینی بنائیں۔
رپورٹ میں یہ بھی بتایا گیا ہے کہ ٹریفک کی روانی کو یقینی بنانے کے لئے خصوصی ٹریفک منصوبے جاری کیے جائیں گے اور صوبائی سلامتی کو تقویت دینے کے لئے فوجی دستے بھی مستقل مزاج رہیں گے۔
وزیر قانون پنجاب محمد بشارت راجہ نے بھی اس معاملے پر بات کی ، اس بات کا یقین دلاتے ہوئے کہ وزیراعلیٰ پنجاب کی ہدایت نامہ کے مطابق حکومت نے پورے صوبے کے لئے ایک مکمل اور غلطی سے متعلق حفاظتی منصوبہ تیار کیا ہے۔
