Tesla Unveils “Charge On Solar” Feature, Revolutionizing EV Charging

Tesla, the renowned electric vehicle (EV) and solar technology company, is set to introduce the groundbreaking “Charge On Solar” feature, enhancing the sustainability of EVs.

Harnessing Solar Power for Eco-Friendly EV Charging

In a bid to further reduce carbon footprints and promote eco-friendliness, Tesla has unveiled the innovative “Charge On Solar” feature, enabling Tesla owners to fully charge their vehicles using excess solar energy generated by the Powerwall system.

Upgrading for a Greener Future

To make use of the “Charge On Solar” feature, Tesla owners must upgrade their vehicles to version 2023.26 or later, while the Tesla mobile app must also be updated to version 4.22.5. These necessary modifications ensure seamless synchronization between the car and Powerwall, making eco-friendly charging possible.

Customization and Energy Optimization

With the updated app, Tesla app users gain access to the “Charge On Solar” functionality, allowing for the establishment of charge limitations and personalized charging locations. This level of customization empowers consumers to tailor their EV charging according to their specific energy demands.

Intelligent Charging for Maximum Efficiency

Equipped with the “Charge On Solar” option, Tesla vehicles now constantly monitor their charging status, dynamically adjusting charging patterns every ten seconds to optimize energy consumption. Additionally, users can strategically plan solar charging sessions to exercise enhanced control over energy usage and reduce utility bills.
