When Pakistan’s favorites Syra Yousuf and Shahroze Sabzwari announced their divorce earlier this year, this was unexpected news for many.

Initially, when the couple seemed distant and Shahroze was seen a lot in posts with Sadaf Kanwal, people assumed that an affair might have torn the two stars apart.

Sadaf Kanwal was hit and referred to as a “house robber” and “other woman” until Shahroze explained the situation. He revealed that the couple had been separated for months. He also hoped that if things didn’t work out, they could be reconciled or divorced.

Our worst fears were later confirmed when news of her divorce broke out. Since then, Syra Yousuf has been silent on the subject. The fans assumed that the actress Chalay Thay Sath mourned. She hasn’t even changed her Instagram name from “Sairoz”, the duo’s ship name.

Syra finally speaks

In a recent live session with her friend, the Pakistani designer HSY, Syra Yousuf apparently found out about her divorce.

Although Syra didn’t talk about the divorce herself, she was talking about things that leave her behind. She mentioned that she is getting to know each other better now.

“I think I’m going to move forward knowing that people’s actions towards me have nothing to do with me. It has everything to do with them, and who they are, and what they believe, …. there’s no point for me to worry about that, to take offense to that or feel bad about it.”

The Tanhaiyaan Naye Silsilay actress keeps her dignified silence. She said that she is a very private person and wanted her privacy to be respected.

The actress was last seen in the superhero film Project Ghazi. The film was due to be released in 2017, but it opened in 2019. Syra announced that she will begin working on a film project soon after the quarantine.

She explained that she wasn’t on the screen for a while because she was picky about her projects.

“I think we need to change the narrative a bit, … when I read scripts I think, why is she always crying, why is she always miserable.”

It looks like she will also return to her VJ roots and reveal that she will be doing a unique music show.
