ISLAMABAD: The government has announced closure of all educational institutions for one month from November 26 in view of increasing cases of Corona Virus.
Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, Federal Minister Shafqat Mahmood said that in view of increasing cases of Corona Virus, it has been decided to close all educational institutions from November 26. Online education will continue in educational institutions from November 26 to December 24. There will be winter holidays from December 25 to January 10. There will be a review in the first week of January after which all educational institutions will reopen on January 11.
Shafqat Mehmood said that in educational institutions where education is conducted online, teachers will provide homework whereas this facility is not available. According to Shafqat Mahmood, it has been recommended to conduct board examinations in March and April. One-third of the students of university hostels will be able to stay in hostels.
Shafqat Mehmood said that the school administration will decide on the recruitment of teachers. The proposal to move the new academic year to August is under consideration. The situation regarding Corona will be reviewed.
The National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) has already recommended the immediate closure of educational institutions.
The Federal Ministry of Education had sent proposals to the provinces for educational institutions on the rise of Corona cases, according to which the first proposal is to close educational institutions from November 24 to January 31, the second proposal is to close primary schools from November Has been said.
The proposals further said that from December 15, children of higher secondary schools should be barred from coming to the institutions, teachers should be called in the institutions and preparations should be made for online education. Arrangements should be made locally, online education system including tele school, tele radio should be implemented.

شفقت محمود نے کہا کہ جن تعلیمی اداروں میں آن لائن تعلیم دی جاتی ہے وہاں اساتذہ ہوم ورک مہیا کریں گے جبکہ یہ سہولت میسر نہیں ہے۔ شفقت محمود کے مطابق ، مارچ اور اپریل میں بورڈ کے امتحانات لینے کی سفارش کی گئی ہے۔ یونیورسٹی ہاسٹل کے ایک تہائی طلباء ہاسٹل میں قیام پذیر رہیں گے۔
نیشنل کمانڈ اینڈ آپریشن سنٹر (این سی او سی) نے پہلے ہی تعلیمی اداروں کو فوری طور پر بند کرنے کی سفارش کی ہے۔
وفاقی وزارت تعلیم نے کورونا کیسز کے عروج پر تعلیمی اداروں کے لئے صوبوں کو تجاویز ارسال کی تھیں ، جس کے مطابق پہلی تجویز 24 نومبر سے 31 جنوری تک تعلیمی اداروں کو بند کرنے کی ہے ، دوسری تجویز نومبر کے مہینے سے پرائمری اسکولوں کو بند کرنے کی ہے۔ کہا گیا ہے۔
