Former Interior Minister Rehman Malik is once again recited Surah E Ikhlas wrongly.
During the conference yesterday, PML-N Senator Javed Abbasi proposed a bill to make Arabic language compulsory in educational institutes. The JUI-F and Jamaat-e-Islami supported the bill, while the PPP opposed the bill.
The debate turned into an argument when Deputy Chairman Senate Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri satirized Rehman Malik. He recalled the 2010 incident, when the Malik did not recite Surah Ikhlas thrice during the Federal Cabinet meeting; Maulana Abdul Ghafoor said that the PPP senator may have many degrees but but can’t recite Quranic verses.
On this, Malik stopped him and said that he had recited Surah Ikhlas correctly and would recite it again today. Then he recited Surah Surah, but again he misread it.

گذشتہ روز کانفرنس کے دوران مسلم لیگ ن کے سینیٹر جاوید عباسی نے تعلیمی اداروں میں عربی زبان کو لازمی بنانے کے لئے بل کی تجویز پیش کی۔ جے یو آئی (ف) اور جماعت اسلامی نے اس بل کی حمایت کی ، جبکہ پی پی پی نے بل کی حمایت نہیں کی۔
یہ بحث اس دلیل میں بدل گئی جب ڈپٹی چیئرمین سینیٹ مولانا عبدالغفور حیدری نے رحمان ملک پر طنز کیا۔ انہوں نے 2010 کا واقعہ یاد کیا ، جب ملک نے وفاقی کابینہ کے اجلاس کے دوران تین بار سورہ اخلاص نہیں پڑھا تھا۔ مولانا عبد الغفور نے کہا کہ پیپلز پارٹی کے سینیٹر کے پاس بہت ساری ڈگریاں ہوسکتی ہیں لیکن قرآنی آیات کی تلاوت نہیں کرسکتی ہیں۔
اس پر رحمان ملک نے ان کو روکا اور کہا کہ اس نے سورة الإخلاص کو صحیح طور پر پڑھا ہے اور آج ہی اس کی تلاوت کروں گا۔ پھر اس نے سورة الإخلاص کی تلاوت کی ، لیکن پھر اس نے اسے غلط پڑھا-
