A PK8303 flight from Pakistan International Airlines crashed near Model Colony in Karachi. The PIA Airbus 320 bound in Karachi came from Lahore and crashed on Friday at 2.35 p.m. The flight data was not recorded by the flight radar, because according to the app the transponder was stopped shortly after the start at 13:08.
The plane crashed shortly before landing near Karachi airport. According to the first reports, the number of passengers on board the aircraft was limited due to the COVID-19 SOPs. According to reports, 107 passengers and crew members were traveling with the crashed plane.
Crew members included Sajjad Gul (captain), Malik Irfan, Madiha Ikram, Usman Azam, Fareed Ahmed, Abdul Qayyum, Asma Shehzadi and Amna Irfan.

CAA sources reported to a local news agency that the captain made a Mayday call just before the crash. The jet crashed near the residential area and reports say some homes were damaged in the incident. The number of casualties can increase if you consider that the plane crashed into houses 3-4 kilometers from the runway.
Rangers and Army Quick Response Force have cordoned off the area and fire and other emergency services have reached the scene of the incident. According to reports, the emergency services have a hard time due to high flames.
The aircraft was 17 years old and was acquired by PIA in 2014. CAA has confirmed that PIA’s flight PK8303 crashed shortly before landing in Karachi.
CAA says the captain has informed about problems in the landing gear and has been asked to turn the jet off the radar. An emergency was pronounced at Karachi’s Jinnah Hospital. 15 to 20 residents were taken to the hospital in wounded condition.

پاکستان انٹرنیشنل ایئر لائن کی پرواز پی کے 8303 کراچی میں ماڈل کالونی کے قریب گر کر تباہ ہوگئی ہے۔ کراچی جانے والی پی آئی اے کے ایئربس 320 لاہور سے آرہا تھا اور یہ جمعہ کی سہ پہر 2 بجکر 35 منٹ پر گر کر تباہ ہوگیا۔ فلائٹ ریڈار کے ذریعہ فلائٹ کا ڈیٹا ریکارڈ نہیں کیا گیا تھا کیونکہ ایپ کے مطابق ٹرانسپونڈر شام 1:08 بجے ٹیک آف ہونے کے فورا بعد ہی رک گیا۔
طیارہ کراچی ایئرپورٹ کے قریب لینڈنگ سے قبل ہی گر کر تباہ ہوگیا تھا۔ ابتدائی اطلاعات کے مطابق ، کوویڈ 19 ایس او پیز کی وجہ سے طیارے میں سوار مسافروں کی تعداد محدود تھی۔ مبینہ طور پر گر کر تباہ ہونے والے طیارے میں 107 مسافر اور عملے کے ممبر سوار تھے۔
عملے کے ممبروں میں سجاد گل (کیپٹن) ، ملک عرفان ، مدیحہ اکرام ، عثمان اعظم ، فرید احمد ، عبد القیوم ، عاصمہ شہزادی ، اور آمنہ عرفان شامل تھے۔

سی اے اے کے ذرائع نے ایک مقامی خبر رساں ادارے کو بتایا کہ کپتان نے حادثے سے ٹھیک پہلے ہی میڈے کال جاری کی تھی۔ جیٹ رہائشی کوارٹر کے قریب گر کر تباہ ہوا اور اطلاعات کے مطابق اس واقعے میں چند مکانات کو بھی نقصان پہنچا ہے۔ ہوائی جہاز رن وے سے 4-3 کلومیٹر دور مکانات پر گر کر تباہ ہونے کی وجہ سے ہلاکتوں کی تعداد میں اضافہ ہوسکتا ہے۔
