The government and other departments introduced their mobile apps to carry on their activities and to provide the necessities of life so that their activities can be functioned smoothly. It is reported that over 78,000 farmers have been registered online since April 8 with the use of Bardana app. This is the mobile phone application, which the Punjab Information Technology Board launched solely for the registration of the farmers. It is reported by PITB chairman that the board has launched the Bardana Wheat Procurement with the Four Ledger Management Information System and the Inventory Management System. He also said that these systems are developed to monitor the stocks and the delivery mechanism of wheat all over the province and it is playing the important role in the progress of “Wheat Procurement Drive 2020”.
After the implementation of these systems, over 389 Food Centers have been registered and they have issued over 631,000 tons bardana during this period. The total procured wheat by the farmers is recorded through the wheat procurement mobile app of PITB and the web portal.
The Payment Scroll has been started to calculate the payments against the procurement of the wheat by the farmers. There are different banks and centers, which have been access to this system so that they can carry out the calculating payments for the wheat sellers.
