Last Week, the University of Lahore UOL, discharged the couple who allegedly proposed publically amid of violating the code of ethics of the university. Later on the management of the university took the strict action and both were expelled and their admission was cancelled.
The incident got highlighted on social media and people pass their views on the incidents differently. Later on some reports also claimed that, the couple got ties a knot and now they are the partners according to religious and legal concerns.
Moving ahead, in the development, when, Ministry of Human Rights, Government of Pakistan officially came in favor of the Couple and urged the University of Lahore to restore the admission of the couple and to allow them to continue their education.
The parliamentary Secretary, Lal Chand Malhi sent a letter to the University of Lahore and said that the management of the university had “Overacted” on the incident and gone against the human rights without any proper research and investigation regarding the issue. The secretary called the reaction of the UOL “moral policing”.
Secretary Lal Chand said:
Their expulsion was “certainly uncalled for and an evident case of violation of the human rights of the students.”
The letter further read: “Both the girl and the boy did not commit such a heinous crime for which they were punished severely and expelled from the university. This would destroy their career and future education opportunities.”

اس واقعے کو سوشل میڈیا پر اجاگر کیا گیا اور لوگ واقعات پر اپنے نظریات کو مختلف انداز میں پیش کرتے ہیں۔ بعدازاں کچھ اطلاعات پر یہ دعویٰ بھی کیا گیا کہ ، جوڑے کے مابین رشتے بندھ گئے اور اب وہ مذہبی اور قانونی خدشات کے مطابق شراکت دار ہیں۔
آگے بڑھتے ہوئے ، ترقی میں ، جب ، انسانی حقوق کی وزارت ، حکومت پاکستان باضابطہ طور پر اس جوڑے کے حق میں آئی اور یونیورسٹی آف لاہور سے جوڑے کے داخلے کی بحالی اور ان کی تعلیم جاری رکھنے کی اجازت دینے پر زور دیا۔
پارلیمانی سکریٹری لال چند ملی نے لاہور یونیورسٹی کو ایک مراسلہ ارسال کیا ہے اور کہا ہے کہ یونیورسٹی کے انتظامیہ نے اس واقعے کے بارے میں “پیش قدمی” کی ہے اور اس مسئلے کے بارے میں بغیر کسی مناسب تحقیق و تفتیش کے انسانی حقوق کے خلاف کارروائی کی ہے
سکریٹری لال چند نے کہا
ان کی برخاستگی یقینی طور پر طلبہ کے انسانی حقوق کی خلاف ورزی کا واضح معاملہ تھا۔
خط میں مزید لکھا گیا
“لڑکی اور لڑکے دونوں نے اس طرح کا گھناؤنا جرم نہیں کیا جس کی وجہ سے انہیں سخت سزا دی گئی اور یونیورسٹی سے نکال دیا گیا۔ اس سے ان کے کیریئر اور آئندہ تعلیم کے مواقع تباہ ہوجائیں گے۔
