The highly anticipated Honda WR-V compact crossover SUV has made its official debut in Malaysia, following its successful launches in Indonesia and Thailand. Honda Malaysia announced that the vehicle had already garnered over 2,500 bookings since last month, demonstrating the strong demand for the WR-V in the country. With ambitious sales targets, Honda Malaysia aims to sell up to 1,300 units of the WR-V each month.

The Malaysian-spec Honda WR-V is available in four trim levels: S, E, V, and RS. All variants are equipped with a 1.5L DOHC four-cylinder petrol engine mated to a CVT automatic transmission. With 120 hp of power and 145 Nm of torque, the WR-V delivers an engaging driving experience. Furthermore, the vehicle boasts impressive fuel efficiency, with Honda claiming a low average fuel consumption of 6.0 liters/100 km (16.66 km/l) across the entire range.

Honda has equipped the WR-V with a range of advanced features and safety technologies. Standard across all trim levels are the Honda LaneWatch Camera, Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA), two USB-A charging ports, and a 7-inch central touchscreen infotainment display that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. Additionally, the mid-spec E-grade and higher models come equipped with Honda Sensing, an active driving assistance suite that includes Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), Lane-Departure Warning (LDW), and Lane Keep Assist System (LKAS).

The range-topping RS variant of the Honda WR-V stands out with its luxurious and stylish features. It boasts dual-tone 17-inch alloy wheels, a front grille with dark chrome finishing, additional scuff plates, and sequential turn signals. Inside, the RS variant offers a combination of leather and cloth seat upholstery with eye-catching red contrast stitching.
