ISLAMABAD: Educational institutions across the country will reopen in the first week of September.
According to sources, the decision was made in a meeting led by Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mehmood together with the provincial education ministers.
Sources said the meeting decided to reopen the schools with all COVID 19 standard work instructions (SOPs). “Schools are reopening after the corona virus situation in the country has been investigated. The final decision to reopen the schools is made by the National Command and Control Center, ”sources added.
Last month, Mahmood said the government was considering opening SOP implementation schools, and seminars (Madaris) and private institutions from all provinces, including Azad Jammu, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan, had received proposals.
The Minister of Education had added that the Ministry of Education had consulted through UNICEF about the countries that had opened schools under different SOPs.
He added that consultations with UNICEF on government policy are also taking place.

اسلام آباد: ستمبر کے پہلے ہفتے میں ملک بھر کے تعلیمی ادارے دوبارہ کھلیں گے۔
ذرائع کے مطابق یہ فیصلہ وفاقی وزیر تعلیم شفقت محمود کی زیرصدارت صوبائی وزیر تعلیم کے ساتھ ایک اجلاس میں کیا گیا۔
ذرائع کا کہنا ہے کہ اجلاس میں تمام کورونا وائرس معیاری آپریٹنگ طریقہ کار (ایس او پیز) والے اسکولوں کو دوبارہ کھولنے کا فیصلہ کیا گیا ہے۔ “ملک میں کورونویرس کی صورتحال پر ایک نظر ڈالنے کے بعد اسکولوں کو دوبارہ کھول دیا جائے گا۔ ذرائع نے مزید بتایا کہ اسکولوں کو دوبارہ کھولنے کا حتمی فیصلہ نیشنل کمانڈ اینڈ کنٹرول سنٹر لے گا۔
گذشتہ ماہ ، محمود نے کہا تھا کہ حکومت ایس او پیز کے نفاذ کے ساتھ اسکول کھولنے پر غور کر رہی ہے اور آزاد جموں و کشمیر اور گلگت بلتستان سمیت تمام صوبوں کے مدارس (مدارس) اور نجی اداروں سے تجاویز طلب کی گئیں۔
وزیر تعلیم نے مزید کہا کہ یونیسیف کے توسط سے وزارت تعلیم ان ممالک سے مشاورت کر رہی ہے جنھوں نے مختلف ایس او پیز کے تحت اسکول کھولے تھے۔
انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ یونیسف کے ساتھ حکومت کی پالیسی پر مشاورت بھی کی جارہی ہے۔
