A meeting of the National Coordinating Committee chaired by Prime Minister Imran Khan has decided to keep schools closed till July 15.
Sources said further consideration would be given on June 1 on whether to reopen the schools.
According to sources, the National Coordinating Committee meeting is expected to take important decisions on easing the lockdown, including the decision to open domestic flights.
Sources said that a meeting of the National Coordinating Committee is likely to open local transport across the country, with a decision expected to close the already closed industries.
Sources said that a decision is likely to be taken to close shopping centers, shopping plazas, wedding halls, hotels and restaurants and reopen shops in rural areas from May 10.
Sources said that the meeting is likely to allow the opening of small shops instead of big shopping malls and shops for Eid shopping.
The sources further said that pipe mills, cables, switch gear, steel and aluminum industries, pottery industries, sanitary, paints, hardware stores are likely to be opened.
Sources also said that a meeting of the National Coordinating Committee is expected to decide on a complete lockdown on Sunday and no procession will be allowed on that day.

ذرائع کے مطابق توقع ہے کہ قومی رابطہ کمیٹی کے اجلاس میں لاک ڈاؤن کو کم کرنے سے متعلق اہم فیصلے کیے جائیں گے ، جس میں اندرون ملک پروازیں کھولنے کا فیصلہ بھی شامل ہے۔
ذرائع نے بتایا کہ قومی کوآرڈینیٹنگ کمیٹی کے اجلاس سے ملک بھر میں مقامی ٹرانسپورٹ کو کھولنے کا امکان ہے ، اس فیصلے کے ساتھ پہلے ہی بند صنعتوں کو بند رکھنے کا امکان ہے۔
ذرائع کا کہنا ہے کہ 10 مئی سے دیہی علاقوں میں شاپنگ سینٹرز ، شاپنگ پلازے ، شادی ہالوں ، ہوٹلوں اور ریستورانوں اور دکانوں کو دوبارہ کھولنے کے بارے میں فیصلہ کیا جاسکتا ہے۔
ذرائع نے مزید بتایا کہ پائپ ملز ، کیبلز ، سوئچ گیئر ، اسٹیل اور ایلومینیم انڈسٹریز ، مٹی کے برتن صنعت ، سینیٹری ، پینٹ ، ہارڈ ویئر اسٹورز کے کھلنے کا امکان ہے۔
ذرائع نے یہ بھی کہا کہ توقع ہے کہ قومی رابطہ کمیٹی کے اجلاس میں اتوار کے روز مکمل لاک ڈاؤن کے بارے میں فیصلہ کیا جائے گا اور اس دن کسی جلوس کی اجازت نہیں ہوگی۔
