Umar Akmal is the leading and star batsman of Pakistan and he has represented Pakistan on different platforms at the international levels. He was under chaos since long time because of different issues and he was also facing the corruption cases and his case was being heard in the PCB disciplinary panel. The star batsman was under pressure for sometime before the beginning of t he PSL 2020 as the anti-corruption unit of PCB collected the evidence of the meeting of Umar Akmal with the known corrupt individuals. The star batsman was already warned of these elements. Before this, he claimed that he had been offered $200,000 to leave two deliveries in a match against India. He has given an interview to TV channel that he was approached during World Cup 2015. Hiding of the approaches to the players is the punishable offence according to the PCB and ICC anti corruption rules.
