Shortly after Apple released the latest MacBook Pro, Microsoft introduced two new surface devices for the masses. Unlike Apple, however, Microsoft has also launched an affordable option, the Surface Go 2, which starts at $ 400.
Microsoft has also released the first-class Surface Book 3, which, as always, is maximum in terms of specifications, but at a not insignificant price. Let’s have a look,
Surface Go 2
Microsoft’s latest affordable 2-in-1 has a 10.5-inch display with smaller bezels compared to the 2018 Surface Go. The bezels are nowhere near as slim as the iPad Pro, but it’s nice to see that there is a cut at this price. It has a sleek new keyboard, but it also supports the older Surface Go keyboard, so buyers don’t have to pay for the new keyboard if they have the original.
In the top bezel there is a 5MP 1080p camera and an array with two microphones for video calls. You can use the camera app to scan documents, notebooks and more. The new Surface Pen improves learning, drawing and noting.
For the connections there is a microSDXC connection on the left and the Surface Connect connection (for charging and docking), a USB Type-C connection and a headphone socket on the right.
As always, there are several configurations for internals and different prices for each. The specs may not be the most powerful, but that’s fair because the main purpose of the Surface Go range is portability and multitasking on the go.

Surface Book 3
The Surface range is known for not cutting corners as it fully utilizes all specifications and is no exception this year. The new Surface Book 3 is the most powerful notebook from Microsoft, with a battery life of 17.5 hours, a performance improvement of 50% compared to the previous generation.
Just like the Surface Go 2, the Surface Book 3 is a 2-in-1 device with a removable touchscreen and is available in 13-inch and 15-inch versions. However, there is no Surface Pen support, as the Surface Book is more of a laptop power pack for professionals than a multitasking tablet for occasional use.
For connectivity, the laptop has two USB-A ports, a single USB-C port with USB Power Delivery 3.0 support, a full-size UHS-II SD card reader, and a Surface Connect port similar to the Surface Go .
As always, first-class hardware is on board, including 10th generation Core i5 / i7 CPUs from Intel, GTX 1650 GPUs from Nvidia to RTX 3000, terabytes of Microsoft’s fastest SSDs, 32 GB RAM and more. The configurations are given below.
