In a decisive move, the Customs Intelligence and Investigation team in Karachi took action on Wednesday, successfully seizing a substantial quantity of smuggled vapes valued at approximately Rs. 90 million. Acting on credible information, the team targeted a building located on Shahrah-e-Faisal, suspected to be harboring a large stockpile of illicit vapes.
Confiscated Items and Legal Implications
The Customs Intelligence unit swiftly executed a late-night raid, resulting in the recovery of an astounding amount of contraband. The haul included 20,088 assorted smuggled vapes weighing around 1,378 kilograms, along with 578 liters of vape flavor. The estimated collective value of the confiscated items reached Rs. 90 million. The individual found in possession of these smuggled goods was unable to provide any legal import documentation, leading to immediate apprehension.

This arrest marks a significant step in unraveling the intricate networks involved in the illicit vape trade. Preliminary investigations have already provided crucial insights into the supply chains facilitating the acquisition of these illegal vapes.
