The government cut fuel prices for the second time in 15 days. Oil prices have fallen around the world, which is why the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) proposed in its most recent executive summary that the government should lower fuel prices.
The price of gasoline was lowered by Rs. 1.79 and that of High Speed Diesel (HSD) from Rs. 2.32. While the price of kerosene oil was lowered by Rs. 2.06 and that of light diesel fuel from Rs. 2.21. The following are the revised prices for petroleum products in Pakistan:

Federal Finance Minister Hammad Azhar announced yesterday on his official Twitter account about the price cut for petroleum products and said that the new prices will come into effect on April 16, 2021, which is today.
Yesterday, in its most recent executive summary sent to Prime Minister Imran Khan, who, after consulting with the Treasury Department, should make the final decision, proposed the drop in fuel prices.
It has also been speculated that the Treasury Department might consider not cutting prices, which would help generate additional revenue through a higher petroleum levy.
حکومت نے 15 دنوں میں دوسری بار ایندھن کی قیمتوں میں کمی کی ہے۔ تیل کی قیمتوں میں دنیا بھر میں کمی واقع ہوئی ہے ، جس کی وجہ سے آئل اینڈ گیس ریگولیٹری اتھارٹی (اوگرا) نے حکومت کو اپنی تازہ سمری میں ایندھن کی قیمتوں میں کمی کی تجویز دی تھی۔

وفاقی وزیر خزانہ ، حماد اظہر نے گذشتہ روز اپنے آفیشل ٹویٹر اکاؤنٹ کے توسط سے پٹرولیم مصنوعات کی قیمتوں میں کمی کے بارے میں آگاہ کیا اور کہا کہ نئی قیمتوں کا اطلاق 16 اپریل 2021 کو ہوگا جو آج ہے۔
کل ، اوگرا نے اپنی تازہ سمری میں ایندھن کی قیمتوں میں کمی کا مشورہ دیا جو وزیر اعظم عمران خان کو بھیجا گیا تھا ، جو وزارت خزانہ سے مشاورت کے بعد حتمی فیصلہ جاری کرنے تھے۔
یہ قیاس آرائیاں بھی کی جارہی تھیں کہ وزارت خزانہ قیمتوں میں کمی نہ کرنے پر غور کر سکتی ہے ، جس سے پٹرولیم لیوی کے ذریعہ اضافی محصول وصول کرنے میں مدد ملے گی۔
