Cricket Central Contracts Face More Delays, Big Salary Jump

The issuance of central contracts for cricket players faces a delay yet again, attributed to the ongoing Muharram holidays, as confirmed by reliable sources.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has concluded its committee meeting with relevant departments regarding the central contracts. The finalization of matters related to these contracts is scheduled for next week.

The PCB’s Cricket Committee chairman will present an update to the Management Committee on the progress of the central contracts.

Upon approval, the players will be granted new contracts, as disclosed by the sources. It’s worth noting that the PCB extended the duration of central contracts by one month in June, following their initial expiration.

Media reports indicate that national cricketers can expect a substantial increase of 25-35% in their monthly salaries and match fees.
