Azerbaijan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have reached an official agreement that enables their citizens to travel between the two countries without the need for visas. This significant development was recently announced by Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs via Twitter, and the new policy is already in effect.
Visa-Free Stay of up to 90 Days
Under the new agreement, individuals from both Azerbaijan and the UAE can now stay in each other’s countries for a maximum duration of 90 days without the requirement of a visa. This move aims to facilitate smoother travel experiences and foster stronger ties between the two nations.
Presidential Approval and Implementation
The President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, approved the necessary legislative changes on May 19 to establish the visa-free system between Azerbaijan and the UAE. This endorsement from the highest level of authority demonstrates the commitment to enhancing bilateral relations and promoting tourism between the two countries.
Promoting Tourism and Expanding Ties
In a recent meeting between Mohammed Al Blooshi, the Ambassador of the UAE, and the Chairman of the Azerbaijan Association of Travel Agencies, discussions revolved around the crucial significance of expanding ties between tourism organizations in Azerbaijan and the UAE. This further emphasizes the importance placed on strengthening the tourism sector and fostering mutual cooperation in the field.
Enhanced Connectivity and Travel Options
Currently, there are several airlines facilitating travel between Azerbaijan and the UAE, including Azerbaijan Airlines, Flydubai, and Air Arabia. These airlines operate multiple flights throughout the day, ensuring convenient and accessible transportation options for individuals traveling between the two countries.
