The federal government passed a bill recommending fines and imprisonment for those involved in private moon sightings. The government has taken this initiative to eradicate the controversies and fights on the occasions of Moon sight especially during Eid festivals and Ramadan.
As per the reports of the local media, the fine of Rs. 500 to 500,000 and prison for those who set up parallel moon sighting panels for the government-backed Central Ruwit Hilal Committee. The move is aimed at uniformly enforcing the decisions of the Central Ruwit Hilal Committee across Pakistan.
A local media outlet has reported that the federal government has given the three bills proposed by the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony.
According to the report, during the meeting of the federal cabinet on Tuesday, the Ruwit Hilal Committee 2020, Muslim Family Law 2020, and the publication of the Holy Quran Bill were implemented.
The Quran Amendment Bill prohibits the printing of poor quality of the Holy Book, introducing fines and penalties for such publications. Only high quality paper and cardboard will be used to print the Quran

ایک مقامی میڈیا نے اطلاع دی ہے کہ وفاقی حکومت نے وزارت مذہبی امور اور بین المذاہب ہم آہنگی کے تجویز کردہ تینوں بلوں کو دے دیا ہے۔
