Sindh Education Minister Saeed Ghani announced that it is impossible to reopen the schools in January 2021 as the second wave of corona virus is increasing. The Minister hold a press conference and said:
“Keeping in view the ongoing second wave of the coronavirus pandemic, it is unlikely that education institutes will be reopened in January 2020”.The minister also said no students will be promoted to next classes without conducting the examinations. The COVID-19 second wave proved the deadliest in the month of December in the province and 444 deaths recorded in this month. The total number of the deaths now reached to 3,379.
وزیر تعلیم سندھ ، سعید غنی نے اعلان کیا کہ جنوری 2021 میں اسکولوں کو دوبارہ کھولنا ناممکن ہے کیونکہ کورونا وائرس کی دوسری لہر میں اضافہ ہورہا ہے۔ وزیر نے پریس کانفرنس کرتے ہوئے کہا
“کورونا وائرس وبائی امراض کی جاری دوسری لہر کو مدنظر رکھتے ہوئے ، یہ امکان نہیں ہے کہ جنوری 2020 میں تعلیمی ادارے دوبارہ کھول دیئے جائیں گے۔”
وزیر موصوف نے یہ بھی کہا کہ بغیر کسی امتحانات کے کسی بھی طلباء کو اگلی کلاسوں میں ترقی نہیں دی جائے گی۔ کورونا کی دوسری لہر نے صوبے میں دسمبر کے مہینے میں سب سے سے زیادہ 444 اموات ریکارڈ کیں۔ اموات کی مجموعی تعداد اب 3،379 ہوگئی ہے۔
