Diriliş: Ertuğrul has been a huge success among Pakistani viewers. A few days ago, at the Prime Minister’s request, PTV started broadcasting the Urdu dubbed version, and it looks like the public will appreciate his decision. It seems that celebrities are enjoying the show too.
Hamza Ali Abbasi also expressed his love for drama in a unique way. In a video recorded by his wife Naimal, the Alif actor shows his guitar skills by playing Diriliş: Ertuğrul’s theme song.
The Turkish epic show is highly praised for its plot, cast, cinematography and literally everything. Diriliş: Ertuğrul is about the life of a warrior, Ertuğrul Ghazi. The show also highlights some important parts of Islamic history and that’s why PM Khan wanted it to be dubbed for the Pakistani audience in Urdu.
“We have always had content from Hollywood and Bollywood which was then being showcased here. A third end culture is being promoted. That’s why I want our youth to know the difference between our culture and theirs,” he said.
Islamic values or entertainment, take it however you want. However, one thing is certain: Pakistanis are in love with this show.
