Mohsin Naqvi, Punjab’s Interim Chief Minister (CM), has made a significant announcement regarding compensation for individuals injured in accidents caused by heavy rainfall in the province.
Personal Visit to Ganga Ram Hospital and Incident Details
During a visit to Ganga Ram Hospital, CM Naqvi personally inquired about the well-being of those injured in a tragic wall collapse incident near Mozang Hospital on Thursday. He shared that the collapse of a wall adjacent to a marriage hall led to the admission of 14 individuals to Ganga Ram Hospital, with four of them currently in critical condition.
Government’s Commitment to Medical Treatment and Financial Support
CM Naqvi emphasized the government’s commitment to providing the best possible medical care to those affected by the incident. He assured that free medical treatment would be provided to all individuals impacted by the incident. Additionally, he announced a compensation amount of Rs. 200,000 for the injured victims, ensuring they receive the financial support they deserve, with disbursement scheduled in the coming days.
