ڈریپ نے ڈاکٹروں کو میڈیکل نسخوں پر برانڈ نام نہ لکھنے کا حکم دیا
The Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) has taken action on public complaints against doctors for branding patients on prescriptions instead of generics and has issued letters to health secretaries in all four provinces, Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir.
The letters said that writing the names of brands on medical prescriptions is a violation of the Medical Code of Conduct. Necessary action should be taken to prevent doctors from writing brand names in prescriptions and to write generic names.
Doctors should write “generic” names in their prescriptions instead of brand names of medicines. Doctors should be discouraged from prescribing brand names of medicines. Expensive brands of drugs put financial pressure on patients.
ڈرگ ریگولیٹری اتھارٹی آف پاکستان (ڈی آر پی) نے ڈاکٹروں کے خلاف مریضوں کو جینرک کے بجائے نسخوں پر برانڈ نام استعمال کرنے پر عوامی شکایات پر کارروائی کرتے ہوئے چاروں صوبوں ، اسلام آباد ، گلگت بلتستان اور آزادکشمیر میں صحت کے سیکرٹریوں کو خطوط جاری کردیئے ہیں۔
خطوط میں کہا گیا ہے کہ طبی نسخوں پر برانڈز کے نام لکھنا میڈیکل ضابطہ اخلاق کی خلاف ورزی ہے۔ نسخوں میں ڈاکٹروں کو برانڈ نام لکھنے سے اور عام نام لکھنے سے روکنے کے لئے ضروری کارروائی کی جانی چاہئے۔
ڈاکٹروں کو ادویات کے برانڈ ناموں کی بجائے اپنے نسخوں میں “جینرک” نام لکھنا چاہئیں۔ ڈاکٹروں کو دوائیوں کے برانڈ نام تجویز کرنے سے حوصلہ شکنی کی جانی چاہئے۔ مہنگے برانڈ کی دوائیں مریضوں پر مالی دباؤ ڈالتی ہیں۔
