Toyota said that the Beijing based joint venture has the different companies working relationships like Guangzhou Automobile Group (GAC Group), Beijing Automotive Group (BAIC Group), Dongfeng Motor Corporation, Beijing SinoHytec and China FAW Corporation. In these joint ventures, the Toyota Company has made the investment of 5.02 billion Yen ($46 million). Fuel Cell System R&D (FCRD) will produce the fuel cell system for the Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles (FCEV) to get the green transportation system.
FCRD has promoted the FCEVs and it will help to reduce the emission of CO2 and also the air pollution plaguing China. The Operating Officer of Toyota said that FCRD holds the great importance for the global fuel cell strategy of Toyota that this company has such speed to complete the work and this brand will gain the partners to work towards the shared target of the use of FCEVs in China.
