Times Higher Education (THE), a London-based magazine that covers everything related to higher education, has ranked Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU) 67th among the best universities in the Golden Age for 2020.
QAU is the only Pakistani university that is listed in THE Golden Age 2020 ranking.
THE’s Golden Age ranking includes the best universities from around the world that have been founded for more than 50 years but less than 80 years.
The ranking is based on the following performance indicators.

- Research
- Citations
- International outlook
- Industry Income
Great Britain is strongly represented on the list with 21 institutes, while the USA with 13 institutes is the second most represented nation.
In addition, China has 10, Australia 7, Canada 6, Germany 5 and India 3 institutes that made it through to the Golden Age 2020.
