The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Cyber Crime Wing has instructed former fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar to appear in front of the agency on Friday at 11 a.m.
The FIA has summoned the Rawalpindi Express in connection with its legal spit against PCB legal advisor Tafazzul Rizvi.
However, Akhtar’s lawyer, Abuzar Salman, has refused to receive a message from the investigative agency, adding that if they receive one, they will provide an appropriate response to the message.
The spit started when Akhtar Rizvi blew up after Umar Akmal’s three-year ban, saying that the PCB legal adviser benefits from litigation between the board and the players. He went on to say that Rizvi has deep connections and has been on the circuit board for over 15 years.
The PCB’s legal department is rotten to the core. Tafazzul Rizvi, in particular, is one such individual. He has deep connections and has been with the board for 10-15 years. The PCB legal team leader later sent a defamation notice of Rs. 100 million, which the Star Fast Bowler declined saying that they were based on lies. However, the cricket board was disappointed with Shoaib Akhtar’s comments, saying that he chose poor wording when commenting on something that was directly related to the circuit board.
