New E-Visa System Launched by Saudi Arabia for Pakistani Travelers

Saudi Arabia‘s Foreign Ministry has taken a significant step forward by introducing electronic visas (e-visas) in twelve countries, with Pakistan being one of the beneficiaries of this initiative.

A New Era: E-Visas with QR Codes

The Saudi General Aviation Authority made the official announcement, revealing a novel method for issuing e-visas using QR codes.

The new system is now active in Saudi missions in twelve countries, including Pakistan, Turkey, Morocco, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Thailand, Bangladesh, India, Philippines, Indonesia, and Egypt.

Streamlining Processes and Enhancing Consular Services

The implementation of e-visas aligns with Saudi Arabia’s efforts to streamline processes and improve the quality of services offered by their consular offices.

Revamping Visa Issuance for Tourism and Business

Furthermore, there has been a significant emphasis on the modernization of various visa types, encompassing work permits, residency visas, and tourist visas. This strategic approach reflects the country’s commitment to enhancing its visa issuance procedures and accommodating the diverse needs of travelers and expatriates alike. These changes aim to attract more tourists and international businesses to Saudi Arabia.
