Madrassa Students Excel at National Engineering Robotics Contest

Madrassa students outshine numerous educational institutions as they demonstrate remarkable abilities in the 19th National Engineering Robotics Contest (NERC), hosted at the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST).

Aiming to foster robotics research within the country, the event is a collaborative effort between NUST and the STEM Careers Program by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) Pakistan.

The highly anticipated competition, held from 11th to 15th July, witnessed participants from schools, colleges, and universities across Pakistan competing for top honors in the field of automation and robotics. Among the participants, Madrassa Jamia Baitussalam stood out as exceptional performers, earning recognition and accolades.

Baitussalam Welfare Trust, the institution behind Jamia Baitussalam, expressed their appreciation for the outstanding success achieved in the National Robotics Contest through a grateful tweet, acknowledging their immense gratitude to the Almighty.

Having previously triumphed in multiple competitions, NERC served as the pinnacle of achievement for Jamia Baitussalam. The students dedicated their time and effort tirelessly to this grand event, resulting in securing the 1st position in the Modular School category and both the 1st and 2nd positions in the Ready to Race category.

The 19th NERC, organized by the Department of Mechatronics Engineering and the Society of Mechatronics Engineers, focused on promoting the integration of robots in the agriculture industry.

Jamia Baitussalam’s remarkable success in NERC not only highlights the exceptional talent and dedication of their students but also emphasizes the significant potential of Madrassa education in various fields, including robotics and automation.
