Mekgh, a dedicated office boy who has called Abu Dhabi home for the past eight years, has transformed his life overnight by becoming a millionaire simply by purchasing a bottle of Mahzooz water moments before the live draw on Saturday.
Despite being occupied with errands and unable to check the results himself, Mekgh received a life-altering phone call from a friend who revealed that he had hit the jackpot, winning a staggering AED 1 million (PKR 7.5 crore).
Initially skeptical, Mekgh sought to confirm the news by visiting Mahzooz’s official account and watching the draw video on YouTube. To his astonishment, he witnessed his name and raffle ID number being announced as the fortunate winner.
Among the Nepali community, Mekgh joins an exclusive group of Mahzooz lottery millionaires. The first of his compatriots was Bharat, who secured AED 10 million last year, followed by Padam, who triumphed with AED 20 million, and Surya, who recently claimed AED 1 million.
With his newfound wealth, the 45-year-old father of two has ambitious plans to secure his children’s future, construct a home, and launch a small business in his home country.
To partake in the Mahzooz draw, all it takes is the purchase of a single bottle of Mahzooz water for a mere AED 35. By doing so, individuals become eligible to enter the weekly draw held every Saturday, presenting them with an opportunity to win the grand prize of AED 20 million, as well as another prize of AED 1 million.
In the latest draw, Mahzooz distributed a total of AED 475,500 in prize money among 1,119 participants, adding to the growing list of lucky winners.
