حکومت کا ہدف ہے کہ 220 ملین ایکڑ اراضی کو کاشت کریں: چیمہ
وزیر اعظم کے معاون خصوصی (ایس اے پی ایم) برائے فوڈ سیکیورٹی جمشید اقبال چیمہ نے بدھ کو کہا کہ زراعت تبدیلی منصوبے کے تحت حکومت پورے ملک میں ایسی تمام زمینوں کو کاشت کرے گی جہاں انسان یا پودا زندہ رہ سکتا ہے۔
“ہمارے پاس 220 ملین ایکڑ اراضی ہے اور اس میں سے صرف 55 ملین کاشت کی جاتی ہے۔ ہم تمام کاشت کی جانے والی اراضی کو کاشت کریں گے۔
انہوں نے کہا ، “وزیر اعظم کا ہدف یہ ہے کہ پہاڑ کے علاوہ جہاں برف پڑتی ہے اور انسان زندہ نہیں رہ سکتا ، ہم اس ساری زمین کو کاشت کریں گے جہاں انسان یا پودا زندہ رہ سکتا ہے۔”
انہوں نے کہا کہ حکومت کسی بھی اراضی کو بغیر کسی وجہ نہیں چھوڑے گی اور یہ تمام زراعت ، خوراک کی پیداوار ، جنگلات کے لئے استعمال کیا جائے گا۔
دوم ، وزیر نے کہا کہ اس منصوبے کے تحت حکومت پانی کی ہر بوند کو بھی یہ کہہ کر بچائے گی کہ پانی کے تحفظ کے لئے بڑے کام کیے جارہے ہیں۔
ایس اے پی ایم نے بتایا کہ بلوچستان میں بارش کا پانی جمع کرنے کے لئے 7 بڑے ڈیم اور 735 چھوٹے ڈیم تعمیر کیے گئے ہیں۔
وزیر نے کہا کہ حکومت مویشیوں کی نشوونما اور خالص دودھ کی پیداوار کو فروغ دینے پر بھی مرکوز ہے ، نہ صرف مقامی استعمال کے لئے بلکہ برآمدی مقاصد میں بھی۔
انہوں نے کہا کہ دودھ کے شعبے میں تقریبا 25 بلین ڈالر کی برآمدی صلاحیت موجود ہے جس کا فائدہ زرمبادلہ حاصل کرنے کے لئے کیا جائے گا۔ انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ حکومت جلد ہی ایک پروگرام متعارف کرائے گی تاکہ یہ یقینی بنایا جاسکے کہ صحت سے متعلق معیار کو برقرار رکھنے کے لئے دودھ مناسب جانچ کئے بغیر بڑے شہروں میں داخل نہ ہو سکے۔
Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) for Food Security Jamshed Iqbal Cheema said on Wednesday that under the Agriculture Transformation Plan, the government would cultivate all such lands across the country where man or plant could survive.
“We have 220 million acres of land and only 55 million of it is cultivated. We will cultivate all the cultivated land.
“The prime minister’s goal is that apart from the mountains where snow falls and man cannot survive, we will cultivate all the land where man or plant can survive,” he said.
He said that the government would not leave any land without any reason and it would be used for all agriculture, food production, forestry.
Secondly, the Minister said that under this scheme, the government would save every drop of water by saying that great works are being done for the protection of water.
The SAPM said that 7 large dams and 735 small dams have been constructed in Balochistan to collect rain water.
The Minister said that the government is also focused on livestock development and promotion of pure milk production, not only for domestic use but also for export purposes.
He said that the dairy sector has an export potential of about 25 billion dollers which will be utilized for foreign exchange. He added that the government would soon introduce a program to ensure that milk could not enter major cities without proper testing to maintain health standards.
