Students in Punjab who have already taken board exams will not be rated based on the newly announced average rating. Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood announced this on Thursday.
Mahmood said that Punjab had already completed class 10 exams before the coronavirus lock was announced, and only the practical part of the enrollment exams remained.
Therefore, these students are not included in the average rating and are judged on their performance. However, he mentioned that the grades for the practical tests are given according to the predefined guidelines.
While Punjab is expected to provide a detailed policy on this in the coming days, sources familiar with the development have suggested that SSC-II students could receive 50 percent of the total practical grades, along with some mercy marks in the overall so that they can benefit from politics like any other student.
In the meantime, all remaining SSC-II and HSSC-II board students will receive three percent additional points that will be added to the performance of their previous classes. Likewise, 9th and 11th grade students will not take exams this year. They will be judged on their performance in the next classes.

پنجاب میں میٹرک طلبا جو پہلے ہی بورڈ امتحانات میں شرکت کرچکے ہیں ان کے بارے میں نئی اعلان کردہ اوسط مارکنگ پالیسی کے تحت فیصلہ نہیں لیا جائے گا۔ جمعرات کو وفاقی وزیر تعلیم شفقت محمود نے اس کا اعلان کیا۔
محمود نے کہا کہ کورونا وائرس لاک ڈاؤن کے اعلان سے پہلے ہی پنجاب نے دسویں کلاس کے امتحانات لے رکھے تھے ، اور میٹرک کے امتحانات کا صرف عملی حصہ باقی تھا۔
لہذا ، ان طلبا کو اوسط مارکنگ پالیسی میں شامل نہیں کیا جائے گا اور ان کی کارکردگی پر ان کا فیصلہ کیا جائے گا۔ تاہم انہوں نے بتایا کہ عملی امتحانات کے لئے پہلے سے طے شدہ پالیسی کے مطابق نمبر دیئے جائیں گے۔
اگرچہ توقع کی جارہی ہے کہ اگلے دو دنوں میں پنجاب اس سلسلے میں ایک تفصیلی پالیسی لے کر آئے گا ، لیکن اس ترقی سے واقف ذرائع نے تجویز پیش کی ہے کہ ایس ایس سی پارٹ ٹو کے طلباء کل عملی نشانات کا 50 فیصد حاصل کرسکیں گے اور اس کے ساتھ ساتھ کچھ اور فوائد بھی حاصل ہوں گے ، تاکہ وہ دوسرے تمام طلبا کی طرح پالیسی سے بھی فائدہ اٹھاسکیں۔
