Prime Minister Imran Khan has ordered the revocation of licenses from oil marketing companies (OMCs) involved in hoarding fuel, causing an artificial shortage in the country. The decision was based on the first investigation report on the gasoline crisis.
The report, drawn up by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Agency (OGRA), found that the Petroleum Division was reportedly working with OMCs to trigger an artificial crisis in the country and to pressure the government.
The committee identified nine OMCs that were involved in hoarding, black marketing and sales declines. These include Shell Pakistan Limited, TOTAL PARCO Pakistan Limited, APL (Attock Petroleum Limited), Attock (Attock Oil Pakistan Limited), Byco, Go, Hascol and Puma and BE (Bakri Energy).
It was mentioned that officials in the Petroleum Division did not live up to their responsibilities and took no action while oil companies in the country caused a shortage of artificial gasoline.
The Prime Minister took punitive measures against the officials involved and also ordered the termination of licenses from nine oil marketing companies for the hoarding and marketing of petroleum products.

وزیر اعظم عمران خان نے آئل مارکیٹنگ کمپنیوں (او ایم سی) کے لائسنس منسوخ کرنے کا حکم دیا ہے جو ایندھن ذخیرہ کرنے میں ملوث ہیں ، جس سے ملک میں مصنوعی قلت پیدا ہو رہی ہے۔ یہ فیصلہ پٹرول بحران سے متعلق ابتدائی تحقیقاتی رپورٹ پر مبنی تھا۔
آئل اینڈ گیس ریگولیٹری اتھارٹی (اوگرا) کے ذریعہ تیار کردہ ، رپورٹ میں بتایا گیا ہے کہ پٹرولیم ڈویژن نے مبینہ طور پر او ایم سی کے ساتھ مل کر حکومت پر دباؤ ڈالنے کے لئے ملک میں مصنوعی بحران پیدا کیا ہے۔
کمیٹی نے نو اوایمسیز کی نشاندہی کی جو ذخیرہ اندوزی ، بلیک مارکیٹنگ ، اور ان کی فروخت چھوڑنے میں ملوث ہیں۔ ان میں شیل پاکستان لمیٹڈ ، ٹوٹل پارکو پاکستان لمیٹڈ ، اے پی ایل (اٹک پیٹرولیم لمیٹڈ) ، اٹک (اٹک آئل پاکستان لمیٹڈ) ، بائیکو ، گو ، ہاسکول ، اور پوما ، اور بی ای (بیکری انرجی) شامل ہیں۔
اس میں یہ بتایا گیا ہے کہ پٹرولیم ڈویژن کے عہدیدار اپنی ذمہ داریوں کو نبھانے میں ناکام رہے اور کوئی کاروائی نہیں کی جبکہ تیل کمپنیاں ملک میں پیٹرول کی مصنوعی قلت پیدا کررہی ہیں۔
ملوث افسران کے خلاف تعزیراتی کارروائی کی ہدایت کرتے ہوئے ، وزیر اعظم نے ذخیرہ اندوزی اور بلیک مارکیٹنگ پٹرولیم مصنوعات کے لئے نو آئل مارکیٹنگ کمپنیوں کے لائسنس ختم کرنے کا حکم بھی دیا۔
