The Sindh government has decided to postpone the reopening of all public and private educational institutions indefinitely.
The provincial government has made this decision in view of the recurrence of COVID-19 infection across the province.
According to Sindh’s Minister of Education, Saeed Ghani, all public and private educational institutions in the province will remain closed pending further orders due to the prevailing coronavirus situation in the province.
He said that only 50% of the teaching staff are allowed to visit the campus under the SOPs issued by the provincial government, adding that educational institutions in the province will continue to provide online education to students in the meantime.
Last week, the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) allowed schools and colleges to reopen in areas where the coronavirus positivity rate was less than 5%.
In the meantime, the Inter-Provincial Conference of Ministers of Education (IPEMC) will meet today with Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mehmood, under the chairmanship, to finalize the examination schedule.

سندھ کے وزیر تعلیم ، سعید غنی کے مطابق ، صوبے میں موجودہ کورونا وائرس کی صورتحال کی وجہ سے اگلے احکامات تک صوبے کے تمام سرکاری اور نجی تعلیمی ادارے بند رہیں گے۔
انہوں نے کہا کہ صرف 50 فیصد تدریسی عملے کو صوبائی حکومت کے جاری کردہ ایس او پیز کے مطابق کیمپس کا دورہ کرنے کی اجازت ہوگی ، انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ اس دوران میں صوبے کے تعلیمی ادارے طلبا کو آن لائن تعلیم فراہم کرتے رہیں گے۔
گذشتہ ہفتے ، نیشنل کمانڈ اینڈ آپریشن سنٹر (این سی او سی) نے ان علاقوں میں اسکولوں اور کالجوں کو دوبارہ کھولنے کی اجازت دی جہاں کورونا وائرس میں مثبت تناسب 5٪ سے کم تھا۔
