In a baffling twist, a steward from Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has reportedly gone ‘missing’ from a hotel in Toronto, Canada, shortly after arriving from Lahore.
The Enigmatic Disappearance
According to the PIA administration, the steward landed in Toronto after flying aboard PK-798, the national airline’s flight, on Friday. Alongside fellow crew members, he had been accommodated at a hotel in the Canadian city.
A Concerning Absence
The mysterious case of the PIA steward came to light when he failed to show up for duty on a flight back to Pakistan. Worried about his sudden disappearance, the airline management and Canadian immigration authorities were immediately informed.
A Recurring Pattern
Interestingly, this is not the first instance of a PIA crew member vanishing in Canada. Four flight stewards and air hostesses from the national airline have reportedly slipped away in the past, seeking citizenship in Canada.
Continuing Vigilance
Last year, another PIA steward was reported missing in Canada after flight PK-798 landed in Toronto. The airline spokesperson confirmed that he had boarded the flight in Islamabad as part of the aircraft crew.
