The Pakistani rupee showed a strong performance against the US Dollar in intraday trade, starting at an opening rate of 279 in the interbank market.
Fluctuations and Recovery throughout the Day
At 11 AM, the rupee continued to rise steadily, reaching a high of 274.4, representing a gain of Rs. 4.1 against the greenback. However, it later dipped to the 278 level between 12:30 PM and 1:15 PM before experiencing another surge, climbing to 277.1.
Open Market Rates Recover and Closing Appreciation
Open market rates across various currency counters also demonstrated recovery, settling within the range of 284-289.
By the close of trading, the PKR had appreciated by 0.39 percent, concluding at 277.47 after gaining Rs. 1.08 against the dollar during the day.
