Pakistani Passport Makes a Huge Improvement in Latest Passport Rankings for 2020

The Passport Index, the world’s leading real-time tool for pass ranking, has placed the Pakistani pass in 192nd place in the IPPR 2020 (Individual Passport Power Ranking).

The ranking of the Pakistani passport has improved significantly this year, as it rose by 6 places from 198 for 2019.

IPPR is compiled by combining both the Mobility Score (MS), the number of countries you can visit without a visa, or a visa upon arrival, and the United Nations Development Program Human Development Index (UNDP HDI). The higher the MS, the better the IPPR. UNDP HDI serves as a tie breaker in the event that passes have the same MS.

The Pakistani passport has an MS of 33 as its holders have the option of accessing 7 visa-free and visa on arrival in 26 countries.

Japan with an MS of 116 was placed at the top of the IPPR 2020, while Iraq with an MS of 26 was voted to the top of the 199 list of members.
