The Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) has issued a No Objection Certificate (NOC) to the women’s football team, allowing them to participate in friendly matches against Singapore.
Ministry of Inter-Provincial Coordination Supports Women’s Football Team
The Ministry of Inter-Provincial Coordination (IPC) has officially requested the PSB to grant the NOC for the national team’s trip to Singapore. In a letter sent to the PSB, the ministry expressed its support for the team’s visit and approved the friendly matches between Singapore and Pakistan, scheduled from July 13 to 18.
Delays and Controversy Surrounding the NOC
Initially, the Pakistan Sports Board created a dilemma for the national team by refusing to issue the NOC required for their departure to Singapore. This led to a delay in the team’s plans to participate in the friendly matches.
According to media reports, the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) had submitted a request for the NOC on June 27. However, due to the Eid holidays, the sports board received the request on July 3.
In response, the Pakistan Sports Board emphasized the importance of football federations submitting all the necessary documents for an NOC at least six weeks in advance.
