Wasim Khan spoke to the Pakistani squad and asked them to act in accordance with applicable protocols. He said this was a matter of national pride and that it would be extremely embarrassing for the country if further incidents arise.
“They have a zero-tolerance policy and they’ve given us a final warning. We understand that this is a difficult time for you, and you went through similar conditions in England. It’s not easy. But this is a matter of the nation’s respect and credibility,” Wasim said.
He added that once the quarantine period is successfully completed, the squad can roam freely around the country and there are no restrictions on travel.
Pakistan will play two Tests and three T20Is against New Zealand from December 18. The series will continue as planned when there are no more such incidents.
