Earlier this year, the Cybercrime Wing of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) successfully apprehended two Nigerian nationals in Quetta for their involvement in an online fraud case. The suspects had preyed on the vulnerability of a complainant, convincing him of a generous gift—an expensive mobile phone and $10,000. However, they cunningly requested the victim to pay Rs. 419,500 under the guise of customs clearance charges, parcel registration fees, and taxes. The FIA acted swiftly and arrested the fraudsters.
