Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has formed an inquiry team of two members to investigate the postponement of the sixth edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL) has presented its findings to the PCB.
A panel of two inquiry team members, Syed Faisal Mahmood and Salma Muhammad Abbas, identified the problems and presented the report to PCB President Ehsan Mani. After a complete review the PCB will make the further announcement.
As per the sources, various errors on the part of the administration and the players that led to the corona virus entering the bio secure bubble found by the team. According to committee, the situation could have been avoided if the necessary measures had been taken after the first positive case was reported.
The report revealed:
“The players showed negligence while living in the bio-safe bubble. Initially, due to the soft attitude of the PCB, the players showed negligence”
The report adds: “Several private incidents at the hotel also caused COVID-19 to spread among the participants, while the franchisees also failed to fulfill their responsibilities.
“The situation could have been avoided if action had been taken after the first positive problem,” the report said. The sixth edition of the PSL was postponed after at least nine players tested positive for the virus. The PCB has announced that PSL 6 will resume, but the tournament dates have yet to be finalized.

انکوائری ٹیم کے دو ارکان سید فیصل محمود اور سلمیٰ محمد عباس کے ایک پینل نے ان مسائل کی نشاندہی کی اور رپورٹ پی سی بی کے صدر احسان مانی کو پیش کی۔ مکمل جائزہ لینے کے بعد پی سی بی اس کا مزید اعلان کرے گا۔
