Honda Atlas Cars retire the old 5th generation Honda City and now the news 6th generation City in the Pakistani market in a bid to rejuvenate its status in the B-segment car market.
Sources recently reported that the vehicle is starting to gain considerable momentum in the Pakistani market, with the company reportedly having received bookings for over 7,000 units despite the lack of information on features and the price of the vehicle.
The report also shared a photo of an excise document that the price of the 1200cc CVT variant of the upcoming City is RS 2,725,000.
Based on this report, the starting price of the “new” Honda City in a 1200cc variant with manual transmission is likely to be around Rs. 2,525,000 as the CVT in a car usually guarantees a premium of Rs. 200,000 in the Pakistani market.

The City will be available in Pakistan with two engines. The basic option is a 1.2-liter 4-cylinder naturally aspirated engine with 89 hp and 114 Nm torque. The other option is a 1.5-liter, 4-cylinder naturally aspirated engine with 118 hp and 145 Nm of torque. Depending on the variant, both engines are combined with either a manual or a CVT transmission.
Car enthusiasts and casual car buyers are still debating whether the 6th generation Honda City is worth the value and the wait, given the rest of the world the City 7th to get a product that has been retired from most markets.
Still, the reported number of units reserved by people suggests that the vehicle is quite popular despite being a generation old and without being fully disclosed.
