A suspected underground gas explosion rocked the heart of Johannesburg, causing significant damage to roads and vehicles. The incident, which occurred during the evening rush hour, resulted in the tragic death of one man and left at least 41 people injured.

The exact cause of the explosion in downtown Johannesburg remains unclear. Initially thought to be caused by underground pipelines, the gas supplier to the area has denied responsibility. Authorities are now investigating the incident to identify potential threats of future explosions or gas leaks.
