A heart-wrenching incident took place in Badaun, Uttar Pradesh, India, where a 15-day-old baby lost his life after being dropped from a building’s roof by a cat.
A Desperate Attempt to Save the Baby
The baby’s father, Hassan, shared the horrifying details of the incident. His wife, Asma, noticed a feline carrying their son, Rihan, who was peacefully sleeping beside her. Upon seeing this alarming sight, Asma raised the alarm, prompting Hassan to take immediate action. He tried to chase the cat away in a desperate attempt to save his precious child. Tragically, the cat dropped Rihan from the rooftop, resulting in his untimely demise.
A Familiar Visitor with Tragic Consequences
Hassan further revealed that the cat had been a frequent visitor near their home since the twins, Rihan and Alshifa, were born. The family had made several attempts to scare the cat away on previous occasions, but their efforts proved futile. As a result of this shocking incident, local authorities, including the Station House Officer (SHO) of Usawan Police Station, confirmed the devastating loss of the infant.
A Disturbing Pattern: Animals and Fatal Incidents
Regrettably, this is not the first time animals have been involved in fatal incidents with babies in India. In 2018, a similar tragedy occurred in Runkata town near Agra, where a monkey snatched a 12-day-old infant from his mother and caused fatal injuries.
