Six wanted suspects involved in murder and robbery cases, namely Qamar Shahzad, Tauqeer Butt, Bostan Hassan, Saaim Zeb, Waqar Azeem, and Naseem Abbas, have been captured in the UAE by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) with the assistance of Interpol. Interpol’s collaboration resulted in the successful arrest of the suspects, who were later transferred from the UAE to Sialkot International Airport, showcasing the effectiveness of their joint efforts in swiftly apprehending and dealing with criminals.
Pakistan and UAE’s NCBs collaborate effectively, facilitating extradition
The police departments of Attock, Wazirabad, Gujranwala, Pakpattan, and Toba Tek Singh successfully apprehended the suspects with the help of Interpol. The suspects were handed over to the respective police departments by Interpol Immigration for extradition, thanks to the effective coordination between Pakistan and the UAE’s NCBs.
Red Notices for wanted individuals in Pakistan show significant rise
In a notable development, NCB Pakistan had issued a total of 117 red notices in the previous year for the arrest of wanted individuals. The collaboration between Pakistani authorities and international organizations like Interpol highlights their dedication to fighting crime and capturing fugitives.
