Tecno Launches Spark 5 With 6.6-Inch Display & Large Battery

The Tecno Spark 5 is currently one of the cheapest phones that offer all the big numbers for little money. It has a large 6.6-inch display, a quad camera setup, a massive 5,000 mAh battery, and more for just $ 125.

Design and Display

The 6.6-inch IPS-LCD has an HD + resolution with a corner hole cut-out and minimal surrounding bezels, which make it possible to achieve the remarkable screen-to-body ratio of 90%. The forward-facing camera has its own LED flash nearby.

On the back is the recently popular rectangular camera cutout with quad camera setup and quad LED flash. There is also a fingerprint sensor on the back, which has a quick unlock. However, if this is not for you, you can also use the front camera to unlock the face, but it’s not that safe.

Internals and Storage

The device’s chipset has not yet been released, but it’s likely to be an entry-level Mediatek SoC, most likely the Helio A22. 2 GB RAM with 32 GB internal memory are integrated. There isn’t a word about expandable memory yet, but that’s probably not going to be left out.

The phone immediately starts the latest Android 10 with the custom HiOS 6.1 skin from Tecno.

Cameras

The quad camera setup on the back has a 13-megapixel main sensor, a 2-megapixel macro lens for close-ups, another 2-megapixel lens for depth detection and an AI camera, the functions of which are currently unknown.

The 8-megapixel selfie camera has its own AI features, including AI beauty modes, portrait bokeh effect, low-light photography, and more.

Battery and Pricing

There is a massive 5,000 mAh battery cell in the handset, but it cannot be charged quickly. Charging from 0 to 100% can easily take more than 2 hours. Regardless of this, the phone should be able to remain in operation for about 2 days with a full charge.

The Tecno Spark 5 is currently sold for just $ 125 in the Misty Gray, Vacation Blue, Ice Jadeite and Spark Orange color options.
